This year marks the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. War is evil, the shed blood of innocent people. The Afghan war is a tragedy known in history for its grave and sorrowful events.

On February 1, a meeting was held with a veteran of the Afghan war, teacher Utebayev Zhaksylyk Kulanovich, organized by the M.Gabdullin Museum in conjunction with the boarding school "Bilim - Innovation".

The evening was based on the book by Amangeldy Zhantasov "Group of young people on the rock". The event began with an opening speech by the director of the Museum Кudayberli Rakhymbekuly Myrzabek.

Researcher Yeszhanova Akbota Zhanbotaevna made a report on information from the veterans of the war in Afghanistan from the museum fund. Utebaev Zhaksylyk, a witness to bloody, dramatic events, shared his memories, answered students' questions.

At the end, was presented a small concert program prepared by students of the Lyceum.
