Imangaliev Maldybai Kuzhekenovich was born on August 26, 1926 in the village of Tashagyl, Kyzylkoginsky district, Guryev region. Labor activity began at the age of 14 in the Kirov collective farm of the Kensuataul of the council of the Taylak district of the Ural region.

In September 1944, the Taipak District Military Commissariat was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army. He took part in the fronts of the Great Patriotic War as part of the 2nd Ukrainian Guards Red Banner Front of the infantry division as an ordinary soldier.

For participation in the Great Patriotic War he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, medals "For Courage", "For Military Merit".
