On February 11, in order to promote national sports on the day of awarding Malik Gabdullin the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, the Malik Gabdullin Museum and the Baluan Sholak Regional Sports School for Children and Youth jointly held a jamba atu tournament among students of the city's schools.

The competition was attended by the students of the Profile School-Gymnasium of Multilingual Education No. 3 named after M.Gabdullin and the IT School-Lyceum in Kokshetau.

Zhamby atu is an archery target shooting competition. This is the art that real warriors owned. Accuracy, the ability to focus on the goal - these are the qualities that competitors should have. In the Year of Youth, as well as within the framework of the "Seven Facets of the Great Steppe" program, we are provided with all the opportunities to promote national sports and arts. The competition, which is aimed at educating a strong, healthy, well-aimed generation, was held for the Malik Gabdullin prize, within the walls of the very school where our Hero once studied. Indeed, among all the qualities shown in the battles in the Second World War, his front-line comrades especially noted, and the people composed poems and songs about his exceptional accuracy, ability to correctly identify and hit the target, respect for weapons. All these qualities are necessary for today's generation - the guarantors of the reliability and protection of our homeland.

At the opening ceremony of the tournament, congratulatory words were made bythe Director of the Museum Malik Gabdullina K.R.Myrzabekov, director of the regional sports school for children and youth in national sports named after Baluan Sholak M.M.Koishin, director of the profile school-gymnasium of multilingual education №3 named after M.Gabdullin R.K.Abilkhamitova.

After the parting words, a small concert organized by the students of the school was presented to the attention of the participants and spectators.

As a result of the competition, the 3rd place was taken by the student of the IT school-lyceum Irtai Zhantilek, the 2nd place was awarded to the student of the school №3 named after Malik Gabdullin, 1st place was won by a student of the IT school-lyceum Zhumash Abylai. All winners were awarded with special diplomas, memorable gifts and cash prizes.
