Relative and compatriot of Sabit Mukanov Madeniet Imanzhanov in the museum

On March 26, the Malik Gabdullin Museum was visited by a relative and compatriot of the outstanding Kazakh writer Sabit Mukanov, a resident of the village of Sabit, Zhambyl District, North Kazakhstan Oblast, 82-year-old aksakal Madeniet Imanzhanov, who met with the director of the museum, Adayberli Rakhymbekuly.

It is known that from childhood the writer Sabit Mukanov took care of the Hero of the Soviet Union, academician, public figure Malik Gabdullin, they were spiritually very close to each other, like an older and younger brother, teacher and student.

According to Madeniet Imanzhanov, although official publications say that Sabit Mukanov was born on April 13, 1900, fellow villagers heard from the writer’s lips that he was born in the year of the cow, that is, in 1901. They say that such information is also in some manuscripts. In this case, 2021 marks the 120th anniversary of the birth of the great writer Sabit Mukanov.

In this regard, the aksakals and residents of the village of Sabit rallied to read a prayer in the coming days, honoring the memory of Sabit Mukanovich and to prepare a memorial meal.
