In the first hall there are household items associated with M. Gabdullin's childhood, portraits, photographs of relatives. The personal belongings of M. Gabdullin's father Gabdulla Yelemesov are especially unique: a prayer rug (zhainamaz) brought from Mecca in 1892, the Koran, the book “Muhammedia” published in Kazan in 1908.

The hall contains materials about school years, studies at Kazakh Pedagogical Institue named after Abai, about outstanding writers of Kazakhstan, mentors of M. Gabdullin. Also exhibited a Ph.D. thesis, photographs of different years, copies of personal documents received from the State Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
