Scientific expedition "The goals of Independence — Lessons of Spiritual Revival"

Employees of the KSU "Museum Malik Gabdullin" of the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of the Akmola region within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan on April 12-13 with the scientific expedition "The goals of Independence — Lessons of Spiritual Revival" visited the North Kazakhstan region in the city of Petropavlovsk, where they held an event dedicated to the 4th anniversary of the Spiritual Revival program.

The purpose of the expedition: exchange of experience and signing a memorandum of cooperation between museums; to share the experience of the work done by the museum staff within the framework of the 4th anniversary of the "Spiritual Revival" program, which forms the basis of the article of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev "Orientation to the future: spiritualrevival"; propaganda of the life path of the Hero of the Soviet Union, academician, public figure, teacher Malik Gabdullin. To hold a presentation of the books "Kazakh balasy" / "Son of a Kazakh" (in two languages), which was kept for a long time in the Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the writers’ fund (in the fund of S. Mukanov) in a handwritten format and was banned. Only after gaining independence, the work was first published and represents a unique masterpiece of Malik Gabdullin’s work, the epistolary heritage of Malik Gabdullin "I am the son of the people", as well as the book-album "Fruitful years", which includes innovative projects and innovative ideas for 25 years of the museum’s activity.

On April 12, the expeditionary group from Kokshetau arrived in Petropavlovsk. At the entrance to the cityrises a bronze-cast monument to the batyr, akyn, scientist, educator Kozhabergenzhyrau. The author is the famous Kazakh sculptor Kazbek Satybaldin.

At the museum complex "Residence of Abylai Khan" we were greeted by a monument to Abylai Khan. The monument is a pedestal made of natural stone, on which the metal figure of the warlike Abylai Khan stands on his rearing horse. The great khan, politician, excellent diplomat and talented commander occupies a special place in the history of Kazakhstan. In 1771, in the city of Turkestan, the khans, sultans and batyrs of the three zhuzes united into one khanate and proclaimed Abylai Khan of the Kazakh Khanate. He devoted his whole life to the struggle for the freedom and sovereignty of the Kazakh people. We have a feeling of pride and admiration that in Petropavlovsk, a monument was erected to the outstanding akin, batyr and commander, the author of the famous song "Elim-ai" Kozhabergenzhyrau, and, on the elevated terrain of the city, a monument to one of the outstanding statesmen in the history of Kazakh statehood, the khan Abylay.

We met with the director of the museum Sadayev Ayan Nabievich. The chief curator of the museum funds department Malika Gabdullina Serikzhan Kudaibergenovna informed the head of the purpose of our visit. We discussed the areas of activity of the memorial museums, considered the program of events that will be held in this museum. Nazgul Abaevna, a tour guide of the museum complex "Residence of Abylai Khan", gave us a tour of the exhibition halls of the museum complex. According to Nazgul Abaevna, the fund of the museum complex "Residence of Abylai Khan" has more than 600 exhibits. The director of the museum complex "Residence of Abylai Khan" Ayan Nabiuly accompanied us to the Museum of History and Local Lore of the North Kazakhstan region, which is located in the center of the city of Petropavlovsk. The museum occupies several buildings along Constitution Street of Kazakhstan — the house of the merchant Strelov and the businessman Arkel. These buildings were erected in the 19th century and are architectural monuments. The museum’s guide, Zhansulu Bekenova, said that the museum, founded in 1924, consists of two floors and has more than 350 thousand exhibits. The museum presents expositions consisting of exhibits found in the territory of Northern Kazakhstan. Also in this complex are objects that tell the history of the region from ancient times to the present day. In one of the exhibition halls, exhibits of flora and fauna of the northern territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan are presented. Among other things, the museum has halls with military themes, expositions with national clothes and a section dedicated to President N. Nazarbayev. The exhibition hall displays rare artifacts: fragments of the skeleton of a woolly rhinoceros, remains of a mammoth, deer antlers and other valuable objects. Several rooms display rare exhibits from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages. All the exhibits in 12 halls are impressive, including the Idris-Khadzhi chair, made without nails — the “horned throne”, a camel robe, donated at one time by the famous batyr Erden Sandybaevich Mukhamedkhanafiy Bahramuly Shakshakov (Segizseri).

We witnessed the construction of the “Town of Craftsmen”, which will allow museum visitors to plunge into the fairy world, starting with the museum. Involuntarily, the thought came: why don’t we do it.
