On March 4, on the second day of the expedition, the researchers of the M. Gabdullin Museum held an evening meeting "Values modified by independence" in the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty.
Purpose: acquaintance with the content of M. Gabdullin’s books "Son of a Kazakh", which for a long time was kept in handwritten format in the Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the fund of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan (S. Mukanov’s personal fund) and "I am the son of the people", representing the epistolary heritage of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Academician M. Gabdullin. as well as the transfer of these masterpieces to the reading room of the library.
Chief curator of the department of funds of the museum M.Gabdullina Zhuzzhanova S.K. acquainted those present with the activities of the museum, and senior researcher Zholaushina M.Sh. made a review on the books "Son of a Kazakh" and "I am the son of the people".
The event was attended by the daughter of Hero Usenov M.M., Amirgozhina L.Zh — the daughter of the founder of the museum, a relative of M.Gabdullin Zhanatay Bekenov, library staff and readers.
In her speech, Deputy Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yusupova Anar Khamitovna noted the long-term fruitful cooperation between the museum and the library, donating the encyclopedic reference book "History of Kazakhstan" and the two-volume book "History of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan" to the museum fund.
The guests were presented with documentary films "The beauty of the migration" and "Baubek batyr" from the museum fund, filmed within the framework of large projects of the institution. The head of the collection department, Karlygash Musayevna Izambekova, highly appreciating the work of the museum staff in promoting the life and work of M. Gabdullin, entered into an agreement with the chief curator of the museum fund department M. Gabdullin Zhuzzhanova Serikzhan Kudaibergenovna on the digitalization of the book "Son of a Kazakh".
The moderator was Karabayev Kurmet, an employee of the Department of Exhibitions and Cultural Programs of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
