On May 3, the Malik Gabdullin Museum and the regional children's and Youth sports school named after Baluan Sholak in the Kairat hall held an open city tournament on Kazakh wrestling for the prize of Hero of the Soviet Union, academician, writer, public figure Malik Gabdullin, dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day - May 7.

The purpose of the tournament is to introduce the younger generation to national sports through the personality of Malik Gabdullin, the development of a national sport – Kazakh wrestling and the education of friendship and national culture among students.

Young wrestlers of Sandyktau, Bulandyn, Zerendinsky, Akkol districts and Kokshetau competed in 11 weight categories.

A congratulatory speech was delivered by the researcher of the museum named after Malik Gabdullin Zhanat Zhanbyrbaevna, who wished good luck to the young wrestlers.
